Device Profiles
Device profiles provide pre-defined templates for mapping the SNMP MIB objects to OPC Process Points and Alarm and Event transactions resulting in the easiest configuration of any product on the market. Users don't even need any knowledge about SNMP!
The SNMP-OPC Gateway has a flexible mechanism to manage these Device Profiles:
- You can download Device Profiles for the most common devices from our web-site or, if necessary, you can easily create your own Device Profile.
- And the best: You don't need to know anything about SNMP, the Device Profiles hide the underlying technology from the end user.
