First Technical Boot Camp Success!

S4 Integrator Boot Camp Held Jan 16,17

Congratulations to Greg Swihart from Havel and Joe Foster from Advanced Automation Systems for successfully completing the S4 Integrator Boot Camp and earning their S4 Technical Expertise Certification. The S4 Integrator  Boot Camp is a two day event that includes a full agenda of technical presentations accompanied by “hands on “experiences in the S4 Open Technology Lab. Both of the boot camp participants valued the lab time and in fact Joe said “I learn best when I have a hands-on component to any training class I take. It sticks with me”.

As far as backgrounds, Joe is from Advanced Automation Systems, a Delta dealer in Tampa, Florida and Greg is from Havel, a Schneider Electric dealer in Michigan.  Both men have had experience with integration projects and both have a scheduled project using the S4 Open technology.

The first item on the agenda was to find out what expectations the students have and what they want to take away from the experience. Both men had previous experience with integration jobs and agreed upon “wanting to understand the technology and how to work with it.”

At the conclusion of the training the S4 team asked if the training expectations were met?  Joe thought about it and then said, ”I learned a lot. I am comfortable going forward with my project. Thank you. It was a good use of my time.” Greg agreed and added, “I’m glad I had a current project to refer to. I think it would be helpful to future participants to have a project in mind, either past or present, to reference during the sessions. Really helpful, I’m ready to go forward with this project.”
