NA Mechanical and Electrical Services requested a custom boot camp for 2 of their staff members. NAC is a contractor in the upper Midwest, which was founded in 1985 and offers Electrical, Mechanical and Controls solutions to customers.
Brian Najarian has been with the company for 10 years, starting as an installation tech, and recently been promoted to a service manager He states, "The company has good forward thinking management."
Prior to joining NAC, Mike Martinek spent 10 years with Johnson Controls, putting him in a perfect spot to work with the S4 Open Products. He echoed Brian’s feelings about NAC and added, "we have had tremendous growth in the past five years due to the vision of the leaders."
Both attendees came to boot camp wanting to know how the S4 Open: BACnet-N2 product works, the ins and outs of it. They wanted as much hands-on time working in the lab as possible and that became the driving force behind all of their Boot Camp activities.
At the end of the training both Mike and Brian were happy with their experiences and what they were able to learn. Mike was “glad I used the file converter and had a chance to create custom templates. This exercise will help me handle any strange device in the field. I won’t have to spend a great deal of time configuring it, saving time.”
Brian added, “This router will make my job easier, it can modify object names, In less than ½ hour I could map the points to the Alerton head end and it was easy to take JCI points and have them communicating with the head end. Very impressive. WOW.”
