Are you or others from your company making the trip to the Orlando AHR 2020 Expo? If so, let’s get together to talk about our flagship S4 Open BACnet-N2 Router as well as our newest S4 Hive 2.0 release.
We will be exhibiting our 2.0 product at the Contemporary Controls booth (681). This release introduces our BACnet-ecobee integration. Product information will also be available in the ecobee booth (775).
In addition, Steve, who serves as the Marketing Committee chair, will be available in the BACnet International booth (161).
Steve is a panelist for the session Obstacles and Opportunities for HVACR in the Next Decade https://ahr20.mapyourshow.com/8_0/sessions/session-details.cfm?scheduleid=228 scheduled for Monday, February 3 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Location: W310A
Klaus Obermeier, owner of Obermeier Software, and S4 Partner, will be on hand to discuss our new platform and answer any questions. The ecobee integration in release 2.0 provides an IoT to BACnet gateway service. The service connects with one, or more, ecobee accounts via a secure TCP/IP connection. The S4 Hive automatically discovers the entries for each smart thermostat associated with each account, including related sensors. Each thermostat is then published as an emulated BACnet device by the S4 Hive so that it can function as a part of the building’s BACnet infrastructure.
Release 2.0 also includes significant enhancements to our traditional integration for legacy proprietary JCI Metasys® N2 installations. All of the features that we previously offered are included. One of the many enhancements is a streamlining of the discovery process. Instead of the installer needing to launch a Configure Wizard through the user interface to discover N2 devices on the bus, the system now has an integrated “Commissioning Mode” that completes the discovery process in the background. Release 2.0 includes an API that sets the stage for many additional integrations.
We would like to hear your requirements for additional legacy integrations, IoT environments to BACnet integrations, or directions related to Digital Twins and cloud-based value-added applications. See you in Orlando!
