Atlanta, Ga. – May 22, 2018 – BACnet International is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Jones, owner and managing partner at The S4 Group, as the new BACnet International Marketing Committee Chair. Steve replaces Rocky Moore, region manager at Automated Logic, who has chaired the committee for the past three years. Steve will oversee the marketing committee volunteers whose charter is to develop strategies and tactics as they relate to communications, marketing and promotion efforts of the BACnet protocol and other association initiatives.
“We’d like to thank Rocky for his contributions and leadership over the past three years as we have grown the membership of BACnet International as well as awareness and adoption of the BACnet standard” said Andy McMillan, president and managing director of BACnet International. “Steve has been a very active member of the Marketing Committee for several years and brings vast experience in the building automation industry, specifically in system integration. We look forward to his contributions as we look at more ways to integrate various building systems with the BACnet protocol.”
Before forming The S4 Group, Steve was a senior member of Johnson Controls, Inc’s Systems Products Organization. Prior to that he held various positions with system integration, networking and telecommunications companies.
