Steve Jones to Speak at AHR Expo

The AHR expo is the world’s largest gathering of Heating and Air Conditioning professionals. This year the event will be held in Dallas, Texas and is a great opportunity for renewing ongoing business relationships and to view state of the art building automation products. The event is hosted by the international building technology society ASHRAE.

BACnet International will be supplying speakers for the Educational Sessions. Steve Jones, Managing Partner of the S4Group, will present a workshop entitled “Cost Effective Legacy System Migration” during the conference. The goal of his workshop is to educate attendees on how to cost effectively migrate a legacy building automation system to new technologies with minimal impact to building operations. Gateway technology enables most of the existing BAS to be salvaged and allows for near-immediate insertion of current generation user interfaces, visualization technology, and value added applications. Workshop attendees will understand a variety of integration strategies and how to select an appropriate strategy based on cost savings, complexity, and a customer’s short term needs and long term goals.

Steve has made presentations during several other BACnet events and finds the experience enlightening. “I enjoy collecting feedback from workshop attendees that may lead to future product enhancements. Also I like attending the AHR expo to see what is new in the marketplace.”
